Westport is largely on municipal water and sewer, supplied by Aquarion Water Company and connected to the town’s Water Pollution Control Facility, unlike some neighboring towns that rely on private wells and septic systems. That changes what usually goes wrong. Instead of well pumps and pressure tanks, we see more service line corrosion, main-related pressure drops, and sewer connection issues.
A lot of Westport’s housing stock is also decades old, especially near the town center and coastline, and older galvanized or copper lines can corrode or lose pressure long before a homeowner expects it. Knowing the difference between a municipal-side issue and a problem inside your own walls saves time and money.
